ACTED is a non-governmental organization with headquarters in Paris, founded in 1993. Independent, private, and not-for-profit, ACTED respects a strict political and religious impartiality and operates according to principles of non-discrimination and transparency. ACTED has been present in Pakistan since 1993 and currently supports communities in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, and Azad Jammu Kashmir. ACTED Pakistan programs range from short-term emergency responses to recovery and rehabilitation, as well as longer-term development initiatives. ACTED's strategy targets vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters, as well as a lack of socio-economic development.
Assignment:
The CBDRM Manager is responsible for providing coordination and support, as well as strategic planning and technical guidance on activities within the area of DRR/WASH. The manager plays a leading role in providing technical input, training, work plans on DRR/WASH, infrastructure, and project development and implementation at both the local and national levels. Moreover, they support the Project Teams in planning, designing, implementing, supervising, training, module development, and potential expansion/development and administration of technical CBDRM interventions.
Under the authority of the Country Projects Coordinator, the CBDRM Manager will be based in Dadu. The role requires strong internal relationships with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and various departments including Reporting & AMEU, Database Team, and Engineering Technical Officers. Externally, the manager will liaise with local authorities and local/international NGOs/UN agencies active in the area.
The objectives include leading the end-to-end development of localized CBDRM training and IEC materials, facilitating capacity-building sessions for Master Trainers and VDMCs, and supporting the finalization of village and union-level DRM plans to ensure community preparedness and institutional coordination.

Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups; Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation.
