We are seeking a technically skilled Cell & Gene Therapy Project Specialist to support the introduction of CAR-T cell therapy manufacturing technology and related equipment to hospitals in Pakistan. This full-time role, based in Lahore, involves project development and technical coordination rather than direct manufacturing or clinical administration of CAR-T therapies. The successful candidate will evaluate technology platforms, assess hospital requirements, and liaise with international cell therapy manufacturers to facilitate the establishment of CAR-T programs within the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and evaluate international CAR-T and cell therapy manufacturing platforms to identify suitable technologies.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the CAR-T workflow, including T-cell collection, isolation, activation, genetic modification, expansion, harvesting, and quality testing.
- Coordinate technical discussions with international manufacturers and their cell therapy specialists to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Assess hospital laboratory infrastructure, cleanroom standards, equipment needs, consumables, and GMP compliance requirements.
- Prepare technical presentations, detailed equipment lists, project proposals, and preliminary feasibility assessments to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with haematologists, cell therapy laboratories, biomedical engineers, and hospital procurement teams to streamline project development.
- Assist in evaluating equipment specifications, training needs, regulatory documentation, and technology-transfer proposals.
- Support the development of a comprehensive business case for establishing a CAR-T therapy program in Pakistan.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree (MSc/MPhil) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong foundational knowledge of cellular biology, immunology, and cell-processing laboratory techniques.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sterile processing, cell culture, and laboratory quality systems.
- Ability to interpret technical equipment specifications and effectively communicate with international manufacturers.
- Excellent research, report-writing, presentation, and project coordination skills.
- Proficient professional communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience in cell and gene therapy, CAR-T, stem cell processing, cellular immunotherapy, or advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) is highly desirable.
- Exposure to GMP cell-processing laboratories, clinical cell therapy manufacturing, or cell therapy quality control environments.
- Prior experience working with hospital laboratories, medical technology companies, or international technical partners will be advantageous.
- Candidates with practical experience in cell therapy manufacturing will be preferred over those with a general microbiology or biology background.
- Salary range: Rs43,000 to Rs150,000 per month.
- This position requires in-person work at the Lahore location.

Applicants are invited to submit their CV along with a brief description of relevant experience in cell therapy, cell-processing, GMP, or biotechnology projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the pioneering development of CAR-T therapy infrastructure in Pakistan through collaboration with international experts and local healthcare institutions.
