Water Resource Management Specialist Required (Bahrain 🇧🇭) - Male & Females

Cellmec is seeking an experienced Water Resource Management Specialist to lead and oversee water resource projects in Bahrain. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a graduate degree in water resource or related fields. With 10 to 15 years of expertise, the specialist manages industrial wastewater treatment, water infrastructure projects, and groundwater assessments. This role requires a strong understanding of water resource management principles and hands-on experience in sludge handling, hydraulic engineering, hydrological modeling, and water quality testing. Proficiency with water resources management software, GIS analysis, and data analysis tools is essential for optimizing treatment processes and ensuring environmental compliance. As a key member of Cellmec, the specialist manages a team of three professionals, guiding them in efficient plant operation, maintenance, and emergency response planning. The role encompasses overseeing coagulation, flocculation, membrane processes, nutrient removal, and advanced treatment technologies. The specialist develops operational standard procedures and continuous improvement initiatives focused on energy and chemical consumption optimization. The position demands physical fitness to work in industrial settings, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork capabilities. Registration with a professional engineering body and valid Pakistani nationality documentation are additional requirements for this position.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of three specialists to execute water resource management projects including wastewater treatment and groundwater assessments.
Plan, develop, and oversee water infrastructure and industrial wastewater treatment operations focusing on process efficiency and environmental compliance.
Conduct feasibility studies, raw water assessments, and treatment process selection based on hydraulic engineering and water quality analysis principles.
Design and optimize treatment processes including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, chlorination, and disinfection to meet quality standards.
Manage and optimize advanced membrane processes such as Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, and Microfiltration for effective water purification.
Implement biological treatment processes including activated sludge, nitrification, denitrification, nutrient removal, and sludge treatment/reuse methodologies.
Monitor water quality parameters regularly using chemical dosing and testing methods, implementing data-driven optimization of treatment operations.
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plants ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps, blowers, valves, and piping systems.
Utilize SCADA and process instrumentation to troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure seamless plant operations with minimal downtime.
Apply hydrological modeling, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and spatial data analysis to support water resource planning and environmental impact assessments.
Develop and implement operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support plant efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Lead emergency response and contingency planning to address operational risks and maintain uninterrupted treatment plant performance.
Drive energy and chemical consumption optimization initiatives aimed at cost reduction and sustainable resource management.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure all activities meet environmental compliance standards and promote sustainable water resource use.
Maintain valid identification and work eligibility documents, and promote a safe, collaborative, and proactive working environment.
Support continuous professional development by staying updated on emerging technologies and practices in water resource management.
