Chaplet International (Pvt) Limited seeks a dedicated Quality Inspector Mechanical to join its metal fabrication production team located in Lahore. This full-time permanent position requires a detail-oriented professional to execute in-process and final inspections of metal components with precision. The candidate must have a solid technical foundation, capable of interpreting engineering drawings, utilizing gauges and measuring tools for dimensional verification, and accurately documenting quality control processes. They will ensure all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards and comply with customer specifications.
This role involves leading and supervising a team of five personnel to maintain high-quality production outputs. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under a fast-paced production environment. They will play a critical role in monitoring welding quality, surface finishing, and assembly accuracy while addressing any non-conformities with corrective actions. Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process inspections to monitor the quality of fabricated metal components during production.
- Perform final quality inspections to ensure products meet design and customer requirements.
- Use precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vernier gauges, and height gauges to verify product dimensions.
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately to guide inspection procedures.
- Document inspection results meticulously and maintain comprehensive quality control records.
- Identify and report any non-conformities or defects promptly to the production team and coordinate corrective actions.
- Monitor welding quality, surface finishing, and assembly operations for adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with established company quality management systems and customer quality requirements.
- Manage and oversee a team of five quality inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain inspection standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering departments to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing quality.
- Assist in developing and updating inspection procedures and quality control protocols as necessary.
- Help maintain calibration schedules for gauges and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in quality audits and contribute to preparation of reports for management review.
- Support a safe and efficient work environment following company policies and production schedules.
