Lab Assistant / Plant Operator

Chenab Particle Boards is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Assistant / Plant Operator to support laboratory and plant operations by performing routine equipment operation, sample collection, and quality control tasks. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory analyses while maintaining strict adherence to chemical handling protocols and safety procedures. The position requires familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to uphold the organizations commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and brings 1-2 years of experience working in chemical handling or laboratory environments. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the role demands strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting quality management systems within the company. Knowledge and experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Quality Control and Compliance Management enhance the ability to contribute effectively to the companys operational and quality goals.
Responsibilities

Operate laboratory and plant equipment according to established protocols and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
Collect and prepare samples accurately for chemical and physical analysis to support product quality assessment.
Perform quality control tests in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Handle chemicals safely following industry regulations and company safety guidelines to prevent contamination or hazards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet internal and external quality standards.
Assist in monitoring compliance with quality control and compliance management policies and report any deviations promptly.
Ensure adherence to company safety policies and participate in safety training and audits as required.
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth laboratory and plant operations and timely reporting of laboratory results.
Identify and report operational issues or equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in laboratory and plant areas to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
