Chief Engineer

Indigo Heights Hotel, a prestigious 4-star high-rise property with 19 floors located in Lahore, is seeking a seasoned Chief Engineer to lead its engineering and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all hotel systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role demands a hands-on leader who can manage a diverse range of technical systems and lead a team to maintain the highest standards of facility performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of all engineering and maintenance functions, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, generators, and fire & life safety systems.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs aimed at minimizing downtime and extending the lifespan of equipment.
- Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team to ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee energy management initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and building codes, with particular attention to the unique requirements of high-rise buildings.
- Manage the engineering department budget effectively.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, minimizing disruption to guests and hotel operations.

Required Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university is preferred.
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in engineering or maintenance roles, ideally within high-rise or large-scale facility environments.
- Proven expertise in managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire & life safety systems.
- Experience working in 3, 4, or 5-star hotel settings is highly desirable; candidates with backgrounds in pharmaceutical or hospital facility engineering will also be considered.
