CHIEF ENGINEER

Indigo Group is looking for a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering operations, maintenance, utilities, and technical services across its various properties and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational reliability, safety compliance, energy efficiency, and delivering cost-effective engineering solutions. This role demands strong leadership and technical expertise to manage complex building systems and infrastructure, while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all engineering functions including maintenance, electrical, mechanical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and utility operations.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for buildings, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of critical infrastructure such as generators, lifts, HVAC systems, and fire safety equipment.
- Supervise engineering staff, technicians, contractors, and external service providers to maintain high-quality standards.
- Monitor maintenance budgets, control operational costs, and optimize energy and utility consumption for cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards across all sites.
- Manage renovation projects, technical installations, equipment upgrades, and related maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed engineering records, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and equipment inventories.
- Coordinate with management and department heads to promptly resolve technical issues and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain safety and reliability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably within real estate, hospitality, commercial buildings, or large-scale facilities.
- Proven expertise in managing MEP systems, HVAC, electrical infrastructure, utilities, and maintenance operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to troubleshoot, manage vendors, and oversee budgeting processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable safety standards, maintenance procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.

The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 200,000 to Rs 300,000. The role requires the candidate to work on-site to effectively manage and oversee all engineering operations.
