Chief Financial Officer

SINA HealthSystems Foundation is a PCP-certified, registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to delivering primary healthcare services within the urban slums of Karachi. Operating through a network of 38 locations, the foundation provides accessible care to around 500,000 patients annually. Patients are categorized into Zakat eligible, Non-Zakat, and Welfare groups to ensure that healthcare services are tailored according to their financial situations. Funded primarily through Zakat contributions and general donations, SINA is committed to offering equitable and sustainable healthcare to marginalized communities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall financial strategy and operations of the organization, ensuring alignment with SINA’s mission and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and investment decisions to support organizational sustainability.
- Supervise the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements and reports for internal use, regulatory bodies, and donors.
- Monitor fund utilization across Zakat, Non-Zakat, and Welfare programs to ensure appropriate allocation and reporting.
- Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen internal controls and optimize financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and Board of Directors on strategic financial decisions and organizational planning.
- Engage with donors, auditors, and other stakeholders to communicate financial performance and support fundraising efforts.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory, tax, and auditing standards applicable to not-for-profit organizations.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in finance, including expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and strategic decision support.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reporting for diverse stakeholders, including regulatory and donor agencies.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data, assess risks, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience in fund accounting and managing both restricted and unrestricted funds, preferably within nonprofit or healthcare sectors.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or a Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Proven track record in senior financial leadership roles with responsibility for managing teams and implementing robust internal controls.
- In-depth knowledge of local regulatory, tax, and compliance frameworks, including auditing standards for not-for-profit organizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, board members, and donors.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and a strong commitment to the organization’s mission of serving underserved communities.

This full-time, on-site role is based in Karachi and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the financial health and sustainability of a respected nonprofit organization. The CFO will play a critical role in ensuring that SINA continues to provide vital healthcare services to vulnerable populations while maintaining transparency and accountability to its supporters and regulatory bodies.
