The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role requires a seasoned finance professional with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in financial management, corporate finance, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal financial controls. The ideal candidate will have spent at least 7 years in senior finance leadership positions within large, reputable public sector or corporate organizations. This role is pivotal in providing sound financial advice to the Board, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring a robust system of internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of the organization’s overall financial strategy, including planning and governance frameworks.
- Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts to support organizational goals.
- Oversee all financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements to maintain the company’s financial stability.
- Establish and continuously improve internal controls, financial policies, and risk management systems to safeguard assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support executive management in decision-making and business growth initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance regularly, analyze variances, and implement cost optimization strategies.
- Manage and nurture relationships with external auditors, banks, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.

Required Qualifications

- Membership in a recognized professional accounting body such as CA, ICMA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
- A Master’s degree in finance or a related field from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or an equivalent qualification.
