Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize plant performance and operational workflows.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals to promote organizational success and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations throughout the plant.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on process optimization, machinery upkeep, and automation advancements.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration among engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance teams.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
- Utilize key performance indicators and OKR methodologies to monitor progress and achieve operational targets.
- Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee cane development programs in partnership with agricultural teams to ensure a reliable supply of quality raw materials.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive practices to maintain market leadership.
- Report operational performance, challenges, and growth opportunities to executive leadership.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous learning within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- More than 20 years of extensive experience in plant operations, preferably within the sugar manufacturing sector.
- Degree in mechanical engineering with advanced knowledge in supply chain management or marketing.
- In-depth expertise in sugar manufacturing processes, machinery, automation technologies, and cane development.
- Strong capabilities in strategic planning, risk management, and process optimization.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience in applying performance frameworks such as Objectives and Key Results (OKR) to drive operational success.
