Chief Technology Officer

J7 Emporium, a rapidly growing commercial and business hub located in B-17, Islamabad, integrates retail, commercial, hospitality, residential, and business facilities within a modern, cohesive environment. As the organization expands, technology will be pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, security, automation, and management decision-making. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will spearhead the development and execution of the overall technology strategy, overseeing IT infrastructure, ERP systems, cybersecurity, networks, data management, digital transformation, and project delivery. This role involves close collaboration with senior management and department heads to ensure technology aligns with business goals and operational needs, with significant growth potential within J7 Emporium and the broader J7 Group.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership: Develop a scalable IT strategy and roadmap, advise executive leadership on technology investments, risks, and emerging trends, and establish governance standards.

IT Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee management of servers, networks, connectivity, and endpoints, ensuring system reliability, continuous monitoring, and prompt incident resolution.

ERP & Business Applications: Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of ERP systems across departments including HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Security.

Digital Transformation & Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, introduce digital workflows, dashboards, and self-service tools, and evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and cloud solutions.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Establish and maintain security frameworks, access controls, backup and recovery procedures, along with disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Triple Play Implementation: Design and deploy voice, video/IPTV, and internet/data services throughout the development.

Software House Setup: Build and manage an in-house software development team responsible for creating and maintaining custom applications.

Mall & Commercial Technology: Support and coordinate technology systems including CCTV, access control, parking, POS, digital signage, and smart-building solutions in collaboration with Security, Facilities, and Operations teams.

Business Intelligence: Develop centralized dashboards to provide real-time KPI visibility and support data-driven decision-making.

Budget & Vendor Management: Manage the IT budget, assess ROI on technology investments, and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.

Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a professional IT team, defining roles, KPIs, and career development plans.

IT Governance: Create and enforce policies covering security, access management, backup, procurement, and incident/change management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or relevant IT certifications are essential.

A minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant experience is necessary, including 4 to 5 years in a senior IT or technology leadership role.

Strong expertise in ERP systems, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and systems integration is required.

Proven experience in establishing or managing an in-house software development team is essential.

Hands-on knowledge of Triple Play network implementation (voice, video, data) is expected.

Experience in budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and successful project delivery is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates with experience in real estate, malls, retail, hospitality, or multi-site organizations will be preferred.

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, AWS, or Azure are advantageous.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Exceptional candidates with Group-level CTO experience may be offered a tailored package.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at J7 Emporium, B-17 Multi Gardens, Islamabad. The monthly salary starts from Rs. 350,000.
