Chiller Operator

Eila Solutions is looking for a skilled Chiller Operator to join their team at the Karachi site. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining absorption chiller systems to ensure optimal performance. This role requires hands-on experience with chiller operations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and cooling tower water treatment. The operator will work under the supervision of the Manager – Electrical, Electronics & Power Generation and must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
- Start and stop absorption chillers while monitoring all operating parameters to maintain efficiency.
- Operate absorption chiller systems ensuring smooth and effective performance.
- Perform vacuum operations on absorption chillers to maintain system integrity.
- Carry out descaling procedures on absorption chiller heat exchanger tubes to prevent buildup and maintain heat transfer efficiency.
- Operate and maintain cooling water and condenser pumps to support chiller operations.
- Conduct cooling tower water treatment to ensure water quality and system longevity.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
- Identify operational issues promptly and troubleshoot equipment faults to minimize downtime.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology (RACT).
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the plastics industry.
- Practical experience with flue gas, direct-fired, and hot water absorption chillers.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and comply with safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts and rotational shifts, as required.
