Chinese Chef - (Mizaaj Restaurant)

Mizaaj Restaurant is seeking a skilled and experienced Chinese Chef to join our kitchen team in SMCHS, Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing authentic Chinese cuisine, ensuring consistent taste, quality, hygiene, and presentation. This role requires hands-on expertise in various Chinese cooking techniques and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese dishes following Mizaaj’s recipes and quality standards.
- Utilize Chinese cooking methods such as wok cooking, stir-frying, deep-frying, and steaming.
- Prepare essential components like sauces, marinades, and stocks for Chinese dishes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, food quality, and presentation.
- Adhere to standardized recipes and proper food preparation procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and freshness of all ingredients.
- Keep the workstation, kitchen equipment, and cooking areas clean and hygienic.
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate ingredient needs to the supervisor.
- Minimize food wastage through effective portion control.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely order preparation.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and restaurant standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support an organized and efficient kitchen operation.

Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience as a Chinese Chef or in Chinese cuisine cooking.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese ingredients, sauces, and cooking techniques.
- Proven hands-on experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
- Ability to perform well under pressure during busy service hours.
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Consistent ability to maintain high food quality and authentic taste.
- Strong teamwork skills with effective communication and coordination abilities.

Location:
This position is based in SMCHS, Karachi, and requires the candidate to work on-site.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is Rs70,000 to Rs100,000 per month, reflecting experience and skill level.
