The ideal candidate is proficient in various video editing techniques, including motion graphics, color grading, and visual effects. This role involves editing podcast videos, creating engaging short clips, and refining videos shot in our office environment. The Video Editor collaborates with content creators and marketing teams to produce high-quality video content that aligns with our brand and storytelling goals. This position requires strong technical expertise with industry-standard editing software and a keen eye for detail to ensure visually compelling and polished final products. The Video Editor at City Mortgage plays a crucial role in enhancing the visual impact of our media productions. Although this role does not include team management responsibilities, it requires effective communication and coordination with other departments to meet project deadlines and quality standards. The successful candidate will bring creativity, technical skill, and an understanding of motion graphic design principles to support our video production needs and help elevate our marketing and communication efforts.
Responsibilities

Edit and assemble raw footage from podcasts and office-shot videos into cohesive, engaging final products.
Create short video clips suitable for social media platforms, promotional content, and internal communications.
Apply motion graphics and visual effects to enhance video storytelling and viewer engagement.
Perform color grading to ensure visual consistency and aesthetic appeal across all video projects.
Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe After Effects to execute editing tasks.
Develop and implement motion graphic designs and Motion Graphics Templates to streamline editing workflows.
Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to understand project objectives and deliver videos that align with company branding and messaging.
Ensure all video content meets technical specifications for various platforms and devices.
Maintain organized project files and archives for easy retrieval and future editing needs.
Stay updated on the latest video editing trends, techniques, and software updates to continuously enhance editing quality and efficiency.
