Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with 7 to 15 years of experience specializing in building construction and government projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project execution, site management, estimation, documentation, and effective coordination with government departments. This role is based in Lahore and requires hands-on involvement in all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage building construction projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project schedules.
- Oversee site activities, including managing contractors, subcontractors, and technical teams to maintain workflow and quality standards.
- Prepare, review, and analyze BOQs, estimates, measurements, and rate analysis with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Market Rates System (MRS) to support project costing and budgeting.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, measurements, and billing records.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, clients, and relevant government authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Monitor quality control, materials, workmanship, and ensure all work complies with project specifications and applicable government regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and promptly resolve any technical or construction-related issues.
- Support tendering processes, costing, and preparation of project-related documentation as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BE/BSc) from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in building construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience working specifically on government projects is mandatory.
- Strong expertise in the Market Rates System (MRS) and its application in project estimation and costing.
- Proficient in preparing and analyzing BOQs, measurements, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
- Practical experience in managing building construction and project execution on-site.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills essential for liaising with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work closely with government departments and authorities, ensuring compliance and smooth project approvals.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 170,847.09. The role requires physical presence at the work site in Lahore.
