Civil Maintenance Engineer

Enaara Facilitation Services is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage ongoing civil maintenance and rectification work at Madison Square Mall, Rawalpindi. The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in waterproofing systems, leakage root-cause analysis, finishing work rectifications, and general building maintenance. Responsibilities include drafting basic architectural and civil layout adjustments using AutoCAD, supervising contractors and onsite teams, and ensuring repairs are durable and of high quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspection & Diagnostics: Conduct regular inspections of building facilities to identify civil maintenance defects. Accurately diagnose root causes of water leakage, seepage, dampness, and structural cracks before initiating repairs.
- Waterproofing Management: Plan, supervise, and verify waterproofing applications on roofs, terraces, basements, washrooms, water tanks, planters, and retaining walls.
- Finishing Rectifications: Manage repair works involving plaster, masonry, tile/marble resetting, painting, false ceilings, door alignments, joint sealants, and expansion joints.
- AutoCAD & Documentation: Prepare and update basic civil layouts, shop drawings, maintenance modification plans, and repair detail sketches using AutoCAD.
- Contractor & Team Supervision: Oversee daily activities of maintenance technicians and external contractors to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Estimation & Material Control: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and material requisitions. Inspect material quality and monitor on-site usage to minimize wastage.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Operations teams to resolve issues related to plumbing lines, drainage, HVAC condensation, and structural penetrations.
- Preventive Maintenance & Reporting: Develop preventive maintenance schedules, maintain defect tracking logs, and submit clear daily and weekly progress reports to management.

Required Qualifications

- Education: DAE Civil, B.Tech Civil, or BE Civil Engineering.
- Technical Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD for civil and architectural drafting is mandatory.
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in building civil maintenance and specialized waterproofing.
- Strong practical knowledge of building civil maintenance, repair methodologies, and finishing works.
- Expertise in modern waterproofing techniques such as PU injection/grouting, cementitious coatings, torch-on membranes, liquid membranes, and polysulfide sealants.
- Hands-on skills in leakage tracing, crack injection, joint sealing, and stone/tile restoration.
- Proven ability in contractor management, site supervision, and enforcing safety compliance.
- Excellent analytical troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates with direct experience in commercial building or mall maintenance will be given preference. This role offers the opportunity to work within a commercial asset management environment, providing professional growth and exposure to long-term projects. The monthly salary range is Rs85,000 to Rs110,000.
