Civil/Structural Design Engineer

SG Power Distribution / Power Revolution PVT is seeking a self-motivated and proactive Experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team working on electrical power projects. The role primarily focuses on pre-construction design for large-scale infrastructure, grid connections, and private networks operating at voltage levels between LV and 132kV. Projects typically involve feasibility studies, scheme design, and detailed design for both existing and new substations and related infrastructure within the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake civil infrastructure design from concept through detailed stages, including steel, reinforced concrete, load-bearing masonry, drainage, and road design.
- Perform detailed design calculations and prepare design drawings, specifications, and documentation in compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, and DNO/IDNO standards.
- Design steel, brick, and concrete structures, including foundations with rebar schedules, as well as access roads, drainage systems, and fencing.
- Support quotations and tender designs, material take-offs, project coordination, and quality management activities.
- Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) to coordinate design deliverables and secure design approvals. Assist project managers and site teams by addressing technical queries related to design.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit proficiently; experience with structural and drainage design software is advantageous.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and coordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Develop an understanding of power system principles and DNO/IDNO standards, with an expectation to learn electrical engineering fundamentals to support project requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant adopting body standards, British, and industry regulations.
- Adhere to company HSQE policies, procedures, and design processes.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the business.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
- Willingness to learn electrical engineering principles relevant to power distribution projects.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to manage workload effectively under pressure.
- Experience using AutoCAD and Revit software; academic experience is acceptable.
