Client Onboarding Specialist (KYB)

Famtech is seeking a Client Onboarding Specialist (KYB) to join their team in Clifton Block 9, Karachi. This full-time, on-site role operates from 9 am to 6 pm and focuses on guiding newly signed-up businesses through the onboarding process for a B2B remittance-based payment service. The specialist will manage the end-to-end Know Your Business (KYB) process by collecting and reviewing necessary documents, assisting with account approval, and supporting clients through their first transaction. Working closely with sales, compliance, and support teams, the role aims to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a technical understanding of cross-border payment platforms to effectively support customers.
- Promptly initiate contact with new sign-ups received from the sales team.
- Guide customers through onboarding steps, timelines, and document requirements to complete business verification (KYB).
- Collect and verify business documents such as registration certificates, ownership details, and identification.
- Follow up with potential customers to resolve missing or incorrect information, ensuring smooth submission.
- Stay informed about the fintech platform and competitors to demonstrate relevant features tailored to different business needs.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to address queries and facilitate account approvals.
- Seamlessly transition fully onboarded clients to support or account management teams.
- Conduct post-onboarding check-ins to ensure clients are confident using the product.
- Gather and share client feedback to improve the onboarding process and product offerings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documents, and progress within the CRM system.
- Achieve onboarding targets related to turnaround time and completion rates.
- Provide regular onboarding updates and reports to management.
- Handle all client data with strict confidentiality.
- Monitor onboarding status and follow up until the client completes their first transaction.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fintech, client onboarding, KYC/KYB, customer success, or a related field.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills suitable for an international customer-facing role.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, WhatsApp, and Google Chat.
- Experience using CRM systems and dashboards.
- Solid understanding of KYB/AML processes is highly advantageous.
