This role involves planning and coordinating orientation and training programs specifically designed for nursing staff. The position requires developing proposals for additional training initiatives and conducting bedside teaching sessions to enhance clinical skills. Regular clinical rounds are performed to assess staff performance and the effectiveness of instructional methods. The incumbent will prepare and share detailed reports with Section Heads, the Chief Nursing Officer, and the Controller of Nursing Administration. Collaboration with supervisors and unit heads is essential to identify ongoing in-service training needs. Additionally, the role includes managing the Nursing Education System (NES) as part of Continuous Quality Improvement efforts and actively participating in quality initiatives such as Nursing Quality Assurance, Continuous Quality Improvement, and Infection Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate orientation and training programs for nursing staff to ensure consistent skill development.
- Develop proposals for new or enhanced training programs based on identified needs.
- Conduct bedside teaching sessions to provide hands-on clinical education.
- Perform random clinical rounds to evaluate staff performance and assess instructional methodologies.
- Prepare and submit reports to Section Heads, Chief Nursing Officer, and Controller Nursing Administration.
- Collaborate with supervisors and unit heads to identify and address in-service training requirements.
- Manage the Nursing Education System (NES) as part of the hospital’s Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Participate actively in quality assurance activities including Nursing Quality Assurance, Continuous Quality Improvement, and Infection Control programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of clinical experience.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience in nursing education.
- Proven experience in conducting and organizing nursing education training sessions.
- Familiarity with clinical audits and reporting procedures.
- Valid Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) registration.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Urdu.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Specialization in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Room (ER) nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation will be considered an advantage.
