We are looking for a skilled Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in DevOps methodologies, cloud infrastructure, and network engineering within Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a robust cloud environment that supports critical financial services applications across Australia and New Zealand. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Implement DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure as Code to enable efficient and reliable software deployment. You will build and manage deployment pipelines, automate processes, and work with Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings and virtual machines.
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities by applying effective technical solutions to maintain a secure cloud environment. Manage network configurations within Azure, including provisioning and modifying Network Security Groups, subnets, virtual networks, and firewall rules, ensuring compliance with approved changes.
Collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams across cloud environments to support project goals and operational excellence. Assist in controlling cloud hosting costs through proper resource provisioning, sizing, and ongoing monitoring of cloud usage.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation related to the cloud infrastructure and support processes. Ensure the cloud environment consistently meets high availability and performance standards in line with service level agreements.
Required Qualifications
A tertiary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is essential. Candidates must have a minimum of seven years’ professional experience working with Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency with Azure technologies such as Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra ID, and Azure Storage is required. Candidates should hold at least one relevant certification from the following: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Checkpoint firewalls is advantageous but not mandatory.
