Cloud Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Technical Support, System Administration, and Cloud Operations. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms, possess solid troubleshooting abilities, and have foundational knowledge of automation. Effective communication skills are essential to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor cloud infrastructure, alerts, dashboards, and ticketing systems to promptly identify and resolve incidents.
- Provide Level 1 support for AWS and Azure environments, including incident triage, troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution.
- Perform system administration duties such as user management, access control, patching, backups, and monitoring server health.
- Coordinate incident management with Infrastructure and Development teams while ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Support cloud deployments, routine maintenance, and operational changes to maintain system stability and performance.
- Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve operational efficiency.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and other technical documentation.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend enhancements to monitoring, automation, and operational processes.
- Maintain accurate incident records and provide timely updates to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in Cloud Support, Technical Support, or System Administration roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux administration, along with networking fundamentals such as DNS, TCP/IP, and VPN.
- Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools including CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Basic scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse teams.
