Cloud Systems Administrator

Contour Software, a rapidly growing subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc., is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer / Cloud Administrator to join their Lahore office. With over 2,000 employees across three cities and part of a global enterprise software leader operating in 100+ countries, Contour offers a dynamic environment for professionals to advance their careers. The role focuses on supporting and maintaining business-critical systems hosted on Microsoft Azure, primarily for Financial Risk Solutions (FRS), a fintech division specializing in investment management software used by major financial services companies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Provision and manage Azure Virtual Machines and App Services.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts to streamline cloud operations.
- Apply and uphold Azure security standards to ensure compliance and data protection.
- Monitor MS SQL databases and server instances, including performing backups and maintenance.
- Create and manage alerts within Azure to proactively monitor cloud services.
- Configure and maintain VPNs, DNS, Virtual Networks, Azure Traffic Manager, Network Security Groups, and IP/Port whitelisting.
- Oversee disaster recovery services and perform application installations for company products.
- Analyze and monitor cloud environments to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage support tickets raised by customers via the Professional Services Team.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and development teams to evaluate and implement optimal cloud solutions, especially during onboarding of new environments.
- Generate reports and contribute to problem-solving initiatives within the team.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or IT Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL and Windows Server Administration.
- Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- High numeracy skills and proficiency with standard business software such as MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Tech-savvy with a keen ability to stay current on software trends and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Reliable, well-organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.
- Educational background or equivalent work experience in IT Administration, Cloud Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with CI/CD principles, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud reporting and alerting tools, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, VB .Net/C#, PowerShell scripting, and familiarity with investment markets or fund administration is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of tools such as Specflow, FreshDesk, JIRA, ZenDesk, Microsoft 365, and virtual collaboration platforms like Teams, Zoom, or WebEx is also beneficial.
