Web Developer/Web Designer
The Web Developer/Designer brings strong web-based application development skills to assist us with our on-going Web Development/Web Design projects. Requires knowledge and experience with the entire software development life cycle.
The right individual for this role is a motivated and energetic PHP/WordPress Developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Experience building high-scale websites with the PHP, WordPress CMS, including themes, child-themes, plug-in and add-on development
Fluent in PHP and MySQL, especially in the context of WordPress
Proficient in WordPress, Bootstrap, CSS 3, HTML 5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP
WordPress SEO Experience
Understanding of WordPress coding best practices
Debugging and Optimization of Custom PHP Code
Understanding Data Structures for Object Oriented and Procedural PHP
Experience Writing Filters and Actions in WordPress
Web Site hosting and configuration skills
Communicate project status and deliverables
Ability to focus on task-oriented work in a distracting environment.
SEO knowledge a plus
Design skills a plus (Photoshop, logo design, etc.)
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science
2-3 years of Application and PHP Website Development
2+ year(s) WordPress and jQuery Development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A solid understanding of web application development processes
Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly
Required experience:
