Codexia is seeking a motivated 5G Optimisation Engineer with a solid understanding of 4G and 5G network technologies and key performance indicators. This part-time opportunity offers flexible working hours, ideal for professionals currently employed full-time who wish to supplement their income. The role primarily focuses on automating reporting workflows and improving processing efficiency in analyzing network performance data. Candidates should be comfortable handling XCAP batch reporting and possess strong scripting skills to transform manual processes into automated tools. Collaboration will be remote, requiring effective communication and the ability to work independently to meet reporting deadlines and client expectations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in processing drive test data and generating concise, accurate client-ready reports that summarize KPIs, VoLTE performance, throughput, and radio frequency metrics. Experience with drive test campaigns and operator-facing reporting is advantageous but not mandatory. This role does not involve managing a team, allowing the engineer to focus on technical tasks and process improvements within the flexible part-time schedule of 7.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Automate XCAP batch reporting workflows that are currently performed manually to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze and handle existing log formats and reporting templates to streamline report generation and reduce turnaround time.
- Collaborate remotely with stakeholders to understand report structure requirements and ensure outputs meet client expectations.
- Independently manage assigned tasks and deliverables within a part-time schedule, effectively balancing workload and deadlines.
- Leverage knowledge of 4G/5G network technologies and practical experience with log analysis tools like XCAP and XCAL in post-processing activities.
- Support drive test campaign analysis, particularly focusing on VoLTE, HTTP download/upload performance, and Multi-RAB scenarios to provide comprehensive network insights.
- Continuously improve automation scripts and reporting workflows by integrating feedback and adapting to evolving client needs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of automated tools and reporting processes for reference and future enhancements.
