Key Responsibilities
The College Counselor will be responsible for guiding students through the entire college selection and application process. This includes evaluating academic profiles, interests, and career aspirations to provide tailored advice. The role involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assisting high school students with application timelines, and advising on standardized tests and admission requirements.

Additionally, the counselor will support students in understanding financial aid options, scholarships, and funding opportunities. They will work closely with families to clarify procedures and set realistic expectations. Maintaining accurate student records, preparing guidance materials and workshops, and collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling services are also essential duties.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in college and student counseling, with the ability to support students from diverse backgrounds. Experience in guiding college applications, including essay writing, documentation, and understanding admission criteria, is essential. The role requires familiarity with the academic and developmental needs of high school students.

A solid understanding of student financial aid, scholarships, and funding options for both domestic and international programs is necessary. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills are critical, along with a student-focused approach. Strong organizational and time-management abilities are required to manage multiple students and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Knowledge of local and international higher education systems is preferred, along with prior experience in college counseling or academic advising. Advanced qualifications in relevant fields will be considered an advantage.
