The Communications and Digital Support Officer is responsible for supporting programme communications through digital content development, stakeholder coordination, social media management, communication reporting, content planning, and partner engagement.

The position serves as the operational focal point for digital communications and communication coordination, ensuring programme information, field updates, content, and communication materials are effectively collected, packaged, disseminated, and reported.

The role will work closely with programme teams, district teams, implementing partners, media partners, and the AV & Multimedia Officer to support communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Content Development: Develop concepts for social media and digital communication content, design static graphics and digital communication materials, create carousel posts, infographics, and digital awareness materials, adapt content for various platforms, produce simple video edits, and develop platform-specific content packages.
  • Social Media Management: Develop and maintain social media content calendars, coordinate content scheduling and publication, draft social media captions, manage content trackers, support implementation of digital campaigns, and monitor platform activity.
  • Communication Planning and Content Coordination: Support implementation of communication plans, maintain communication workplans, coordinate with programme teams, and ensure communication deliverables are completed on time.
  • Stakeholder and Partner Engagement: Coordinate communication activities with district teams and partners, support engagement with various stakeholders, and maintain stakeholder contact lists.
  • Information Collection and Partner Reporting: Serve as the focal point for collecting communication-related updates from programme partners, ensure information received is complete, and maintain records of communication activities.
  • Communication Reporting and Documentation: Compile communication updates, prepare monthly reports, draft briefing notes, and maintain documentation of communication activities.
  • Content Development and Writing: Draft human-interest stories, stakeholder profiles, and prepare messaging packages for campaigns.
  • Monitoring and Digital Analytics: Monitor performance of communication activities, track social media analytics, and identify high-performing content.
  • Campaign Communication Support: Develop campaign content calendars and coordinate communication inputs.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • With Bachelor’s degree, five years of relevant professional experience.
  • With Advanced degree, three years of relevant professional experience.Location:
