This role focuses on engaging and building strong relationships with communities within the program’s catchment area to support the telehealth initiative. The successful candidate will use various community engagement techniques and participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools to connect with stakeholders and facilitators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. The position requires a good understanding of the telehealth program, the ability to work well within a team, and flexibility to perform additional healthcare-related tasks as needed. The role also involves conducting health awareness sessions, identifying community health needs, collecting feedback, and maintaining accurate data reporting to support program goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and engage communities within the program’s designated areas using community engagement approaches and PRA tools.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with community stakeholders and facilitators through regular meetings and ongoing communication.
- Understand the telehealth program’s operations and work collaboratively with team members to support its implementation.
- Facilitate community referrals to telehealth facilities and related programs.
- Perform additional duties as needed, including roles of Registered Nurse (RN), Nursing Assistant (NA), pharmacy assistant, and receptionist.
- Promote awareness of the telehealth center by conducting health education sessions in community settings, homes, and clinics.
- Identify and communicate community health needs and information to the core program team.
- Travel extensively to community homes, NGOs, outreach locations, and other relevant sites to engage with the community.
- Collect and document community feedback on telehealth services to inform program improvements.
- Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings to stay updated on program developments.
- Accurately document all field data, both qualitative and quantitative, including community stories and observations.
- Report progress and weekly updates to the program coordinator.
- Support other public health programs by establishing community linkages and participating in disease screening activities.
- Willingness to travel to various program locations within and outside the city as required.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to support overall program success.

Required Qualifications

- Experience in community engagement, preferably within health programs or similar outreach initiatives.
- Familiarity with participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools and community mobilization techniques.
- Basic understanding of telehealth services and healthcare delivery systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Flexibility to undertake multiple roles such as nursing, pharmacy assistance, and reception duties when necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse community members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel extensively to various community and program sites.
- Competence in data collection, documentation, and reporting.
