Community Mobilizer – Bannu ( UC – Ghoriwala 2 )

Z.M.K. & Co. (ZMK) is seeking a dedicated and community-oriented individual for the position of Community Mobilizer in Bannu, specifically for Union Council Ghoriwala 2, under the Communication Network (COMNet) Programme. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) and enhance Routine Immunization (RI) efforts by fostering community awareness, building trust, and encouraging positive behavior change through effective engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with local communities to promote immunization activities, address challenges related to vaccine acceptance, and support the smooth execution of program objectives within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and engage community members to raise awareness, increase participation, and build trust in Polio and Routine Immunization programs.
- Plan, organize, and conduct community engagement activities such as meetings, door-to-door visits, and outreach events.
- Promote coverage of missed children by involving local influencers and community leaders to enhance awareness and participation.
- Regularly profile missed children, including those who refuse vaccination or are unavailable, and assist in overcoming barriers to immunization.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community influencers, religious and tribal leaders, women and youth leaders, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), health workers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with communities to identify and address misconceptions, misinformation, and other obstacles affecting vaccine uptake.
- Coordinate with government officials and local stakeholders during demand generation efforts, boycott refusals, and crisis communication.
- Participate in training sessions and capacity-building activities to enhance community mobilization and communication skills.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities, issues encountered, and any suspected Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) cases identified during visits.
- Support advocacy and community mobilization in assigned Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) areas when applicable.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications
- Male or female candidates must be from the same locality as the area of work, with strong knowledge of the local environment, including language, religious practices, and cultural norms.
- Minimum education of Intermediate (FA/FSc or equivalent).
- Proven experience in community development, social work, or involvement with community-based organizations or committees is preferred, especially within immunization or public health programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse community members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with good planning and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in local languages and Urdu is essential.
- Comfortable using smartphones for program-related tasks and reporting.

Preference will be given to candidates residing within or belonging to the respective Union Council or assigned area.
