Community Mobilizer – Peshawar ( UC – Cantt Ward 5 )

Z.M.K. & Co. (ZMK) is seeking motivated and community-oriented individuals for the role of Community Mobilizer in Peshawar, specifically for UC – Cantt Ward 5, under the Communication Network (COMNet) Programme. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) and strengthen Routine Immunization (RI) efforts by fostering community awareness, building trust, and encouraging positive behavior change through effective engagement. The Community Mobilizer will work closely with local communities, influencers, and stakeholders to promote immunization activities, address vaccine hesitancy, and support the successful implementation of program objectives within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and engage community members to enhance awareness, participation, and trust in Polio and Routine Immunization programs.
- Plan, organize, and conduct community engagement activities such as meetings, door-to-door visits, and outreach events.
- Promote the coverage of missed children by raising community awareness and involving local influencers and leaders.
- Regularly profile missed children, including refusals and not available cases, and assist in overcoming barriers to immunization.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community influencers, religious and tribal leaders, women and youth leaders, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), health workers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with communities to identify and address misconceptions, misinformation, and other challenges affecting vaccine uptake.
- Coordinate with government officials and local stakeholders during demand generation, boycott refusals, and crisis communication efforts.
- Participate in training and capacity-building sessions to enhance community mobilization and communication skills.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities, issues, and any suspected Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) cases identified during community visits.
- Support advocacy and community mobilization activities in assigned Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) areas, as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications
- Male or female candidates must be residents of the same locality or area of work, with good knowledge of the local environment, language, religious practices, and cultural norms.
- Minimum education of Intermediate (FA/FSc or equivalent).
- Proven experience in community development, social work, or involvement with community-based organizations or committees is preferred, especially in immunization or public health programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse community members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good planning and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in local languages and Urdu.
- Comfortable using smartphones for program-related activities and reporting.

Preference will be given to candidates who reside within or belong to the respective Union Council (UC) or assigned area, though selection will be strictly merit-based.
