Community Mobilizer – Tank (UC –Jandola A, Waraspoon)

Z.M.K. & Co. (ZMK) is seeking motivated and community-oriented individuals for the position of Community Mobilizer under the Communication Network (COMNet) Programme. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) and strengthen Routine Immunization (RI) efforts by promoting community awareness, building trust, and supporting behavior change through effective engagement. The Community Mobilizer will work closely with local communities, influencers, and stakeholders to enhance immunization participation and address barriers to vaccine uptake within the assigned Union Council areas of Jandola A and Waraspoon.

Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and engage community members to raise awareness, participation, and trust in Polio and Routine Immunization programmes.
- Plan, organize, and conduct community engagement activities such as meetings, door-to-door visits, and outreach events.
- Promote coverage of missed children by involving local influencers and leaders to increase community awareness.
- Regularly profile missed children, including refusals and not-available cases, and support efforts to overcome immunization barriers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community influencers, religious and tribal leaders, women and youth leaders, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), health workers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and address misconceptions, misinformation, and other challenges affecting immunization uptake within the community.
- Coordinate with government officials and local stakeholders during demand generation, boycott refusals, and crisis communication efforts.
- Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance community mobilization and communication skills.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of field activities, issues, and suspected Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) cases identified during community visits.
- Support advocacy and community mobilization activities in assigned Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) areas, where applicable.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications
- Male or female candidates must be from the same locality as the area of work, with good knowledge of the local environment, including language, religious practices, and cultural norms.
- Minimum education of Intermediate (FA/FSc or equivalent).
- Proven experience in community development, social work, or involvement with community-based organizations or committees is preferred, especially in immunization or public health programmes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse community members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong planning and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in local languages and Urdu is essential.
- Competency in using smartphones for programme-related activities and reporting.
