Two positions are available for Community Mobilizers to support the project "Access to Climate Security and Environmental Justice in Gwadar, Balochistan." The roles are based in Gwadar and will report directly to the Project Manager for a duration of seven months. The Community Mobilizers will play a crucial role in fostering meaningful engagement with local communities and stakeholders. They will support the implementation of community-based activities, awareness sessions, Social Action Projects (SAPs), and citizen-led initiatives, ensuring inclusive participation of women, youth, vulnerable groups, and other community members throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Mobilize and engage communities within the project intervention areas of Gwadar.
- Organize and conduct community meetings, awareness sessions, consultations, and outreach activities.
- Facilitate community participation in Climate-Resilient Social Action Projects and other citizen-led initiatives.
- Assist in identifying community needs, priorities, and locally appropriate solutions.
- Lead community consultations, focus group discussions (FGDs), and stakeholder meetings, documenting key issues and recommendations.
- Promote awareness on climate security, environmental protection, environmental justice, and grievance-redress mechanisms.
- Ensure inclusive participation of women, youth, and vulnerable or marginalized groups.
- Coordinate with community leaders, local organizations, government representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Support the establishment and strengthening of community groups and their linkages with relevant forums and platforms.
- Collect community feedback and refer concerns or grievances through established mechanisms.
- Maintain detailed records of community meetings, participants, activities, feedback, and follow-up actions.
- Provide regular field updates and inputs for project monitoring and reporting.
- Work closely with Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Research Officers to ensure proper documentation of community-level results and feedback.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Development Studies, Sociology, Community Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience in community mobilization, awareness and outreach, Social Action Projects, and/or citizen-led initiatives.
- At least one year of experience working in Balochistan, with prior experience specifically in Gwadar required.
- Proven ability to facilitate community meetings, FGDs, awareness sessions, and consultations.
- Experience working with women, youth, and vulnerable communities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Proficient in documentation and report writing.
- Fluency in Urdu and English is essential; knowledge of Balochi, Brahui, or other local languages is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to undertake regular field visits within Gwadar.
