Community Mobilizer

Base Location: Peshawar (Frequent visits to Kohat & Haripur)

Job Purpose: 

The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for facilitating community engagement, mobilizing target groups, and promoting participatory approaches in the slums development project. The role will support social cohesion, community-led planning, and project ownership, ensuring the inclusion of marginalized and vulnerable groups. The mobilizer will work closely with project teams, communities, and local stakeholders to implement activities effectively and sustainably.

Key Accountabilities:

·       Mobilize target communities for active participation in project interventions.

·       Facilitate community-led planning and decision-making processes.

·       Promote social cohesion and conflict resolution at community level.

·       Support project staff in implementation, monitoring, and reporting of field activities.

·       Maintain community records, attendance sheets, and documentation of events.

·       Provide feedback from communities to improve project design and implementation.

·       Ensure inclusion of women, children, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups in all activities.

·       Support awareness-raising campaigns and advocacy efforts.

·       Perform other tasks assigned by Project Coordinator or Social Cohesion Officer.

Person Specification: It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its PSEAH (preventing sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. The organization has a zero-tolerance policy towards PSEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages PSEAH.

Qualification: Bachelor / Master Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or related field preferred.

Experience: Fresh or 6 months experience in in national/international organizations preferably in humanitarian aid projects in community mobilization, social development, or humanitarian projects.

 Language: English, Urdu and Local Languages 

Computer: MS Office, Outlook, ERP systems familiarity
