COMMUNITY MOBILIZER

We are looking for three dedicated and motivated Community Mobilizers to join a community-based eye screening initiative across Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Sargodha districts. This full-time, contractual, field-based role involves engaging with local communities and stakeholders to raise awareness and facilitate outreach activities related to eye screening, refraction, referrals, and follow-up services. The successful candidates will work closely with public health facilities, community leaders, and frontline workers to ensure smooth implementation and coordination of the project in their respective districts.

Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize communities and coordinate with public health facilities, community leaders, primary health care workers, and other relevant stakeholders to support eye screening activities.
- Organize, coordinate, and plan capacity-building sessions for primary health care workers.
- Facilitate outreach eye screening and refraction activities at designated community and public health service delivery points within the assigned district.
- Conduct community awareness sessions on eye health, available services, referral pathways, and the importance of completing recommended follow-ups.
- Support field teams in planning screening routes, confirming activity schedules, organizing community participation, and ensuring readiness of screening locations.
- Coordinate with selected optical vendors and service providers to ensure timely receipt of prescriptions, preparation and dispensing of spectacles, and delivery to beneficiaries at designated locations.
- Follow up with beneficiaries after spectacle dispensing to confirm receipt, assess use and comfort, identify fitting or prescription-related concerns, and facilitate timely corrective action with the relevant vendor or service provider.
- Assist the team in conducting quality spot checks and monitoring visits.
- Collect and document beneficiary feedback on spectacle quality, fit, comfort, usability, timeliness of delivery, and overall service experience; promptly report any quality concerns for resolution.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of spectacle prescriptions, dispensing and delivery status, beneficiary follow-up, feedback received, issues identified, and actions taken to support quality assurance and reporting.
- Collect, validate, and submit timely field data and progress updates through approved tools, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Perform other field and coordination responsibilities as assigned under the project.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Social Sciences from an HEC-recognized university or institution.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in community mobilization, social development, or community-based health projects is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, counseling, and community mobilization skills.
- Experience coordinating with public health facilities, community leaders, frontline workers, caregivers, and local organizations is an advantage.
- Good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Willingness to undertake regular fieldwork and travel within the assigned district.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with communities, health facilities, field teams, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Candidates with prior experience in eye health or related community health initiatives will be preferred.
