The Intellect School, located in Korangi Creek, Karachi, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Computer Science Teacher for its Senior Girls Section. Established in 2007, the school offers O Level and A Level education within a Shariah-compliant environment that emphasizes academic excellence alongside Islamic values and character development. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical Computer Science lessons, fostering students’ computational thinking, and enhancing their technical and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Computer Science lessons aligned with the approved curriculum for the assigned grades.
- Develop students’ understanding of programming, algorithms, computational logic, databases, networking, and other relevant topics.
- Conduct practical computer lab sessions and hands-on learning activities to reinforce theoretical concepts.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, quizzes, tests, and examinations to assess student learning.
- Evaluate student performance, maintain accurate academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom and computer lab activities, ensuring responsible and ethical use of IT resources.
- Offer individual academic support and monitor student progress regularly.
- Participate actively in coordination meetings, parent-teacher conferences, training sessions, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and adhere to the school’s academic policies and standards.
- Promote discipline, professional conduct, and Islamic values within the classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably at the secondary or senior school level.
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science concepts and their practical applications.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal, presentation, and classroom management abilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage students through interactive teaching methods and practical activities.
