Connectia is a Pakistan-focused end-to-end logistics and fleet automation startup backed by well-reputed international angel investors. We are looking for a senior software engineer who is passionate about developing technology for the next generation of fleet and logistics-related operations. You’ll be leading and collaborating with the team to design and build an advanced, scalable fleet and logistics-related applications. You will build scalable services in order to support and optimize thousands of vehicles and their operations.
As part of an early-stage and high-growth startup, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with company founders, partners, and non-engineering parts of the business. Every member of our organization plays a critical role in shaping the future of our services, team, and culture.
What we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in developing complex microservices and data-driven applications.
- Proficient with Node.js & Typescript, at least have 3+ years of experience in this ecosystem.
- Knowledge of one of the frontend frameworks like Vue.js or React, and proficiency with HTML and CSS.
- Thorough experience building full-stack API first backends and integrating with frontends like a web app.
- Have comprehensive experience implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Database skills – You understand the use cases for relational and non-relational data and have experience with different database platforms like PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, or Redis.
- Understanding of source control (Git), and building CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud formation or CDK.
- Experience writing automated tests (unit tests/integration tests/e2e) in TypeScript.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the agile software development process.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
Nice to have:
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer Certification.
- Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience building services and applications at high throughput.
