Telecom Technician

Connectserve Communication is seeking a skilled Telecom Technician with a minimum of two years of experience in the telecom industry. This role requires hands-on expertise in installing, commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting microwave links and related telecom equipment. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of power systems, including DC power supplies, batteries, rectifiers, and earthing and grounding systems specific to telecom sites. Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities and networking fundamentals knowledge are essential to perform daily tasks effectively. This position demands excellent communication and coordination skills to work independently and collaborate with customers, site personnel, and internal teams. The role involves frequent travel to different telecom sites to ensure operational efficiency and maintenance of systems. Candidates with experience in field operations and telecom maintenance will be highly preferred for this challenging and rewarding opportunity.
Responsibilities

Install, configure, and commission microwave links and other telecom network equipment to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
Perform regular site inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to uphold system reliability and reduce downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues, telecom equipment faults, and power system failures swiftly using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Maintain and repair power system components such as DC power supplies, batteries, rectifiers, and ensure proper earthing and grounding at telecom sites.
Configure and verify IP settings and network connectivity to support communication frameworks within the telecom infrastructure.
Coordinate effectively with site personnel, customers, and internal teams to communicate technical information, manage schedules, and resolve issues promptly.
Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and repairs accurately for reporting and future reference.
Adhere to safety standards and company policies while working independently at remote and on-site locations.
Travel between multiple telecom sites as required for installation and maintenance assignments.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to telecom network equipment and power systems.
