Construct Now is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Site Engineer (Civil) to oversee and manage on-site construction activities for an 8-month residential project in Lahore. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. With 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in residential construction projects, the engineer will assist the Project Manager in scheduling, planning, and implementing quality control measures while maintaining precise site documentation and daily progress reports.
This role requires strong technical skills in AutoCAD, construction drawing interpretation, and resource management to minimize wastage and optimize site workflow. Although this position does not include managing a team, the engineer must effectively coordinate with contractors and vendors to resolve on-site technical issues and adhere to structural standards. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering and demonstrate proficiency in quantity surveying and familiarization with construction material testing and inspection to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
- Assist the Project Manager in creating and maintaining construction schedules and implementing strict quality control procedures.
- Monitor the use of materials on-site to reduce waste and coordinate procurement and deliveries with contractors and vendors.
- Prepare detailed daily progress reports documenting work progress, challenges, and resource utilization.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality standards and ensure adherence to safety regulations and structural specifications.
- Address and resolve on-site technical issues promptly to avoid delays and maintain project timelines.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to provide accurate support during site execution phases.
- Conduct quantity surveying activities and assist in preparing estimates and bills of quantities using MS Excel.
- Coordinate with laboratory teams for material testing and inspection to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including inspection reports, material certificates, and construction logs.
