Construction Manager (MECH)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works and affiliated with Izhar Construction Company Pvt Ltd, is seeking a dedicated full-time Construction Manager (Mechanical) to join its team for projects based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing mechanical construction activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from initial conception through to completion, including detailed project review to schedule deliverables and estimate costs accurately.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors to meet contractual performance conditions.
- Manage all mechanical aspects of construction, including heating and cooling systems, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing installations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project alignment and quality.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout various project phases such as bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress inspections, punch walks, and closeouts. Participate actively in status and coordination meetings.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections consistently to maintain a safe work environment and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order.
- Maintain and update Scope of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documentation, while fostering strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to meet contract obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other disruptions to minimize impact on project timelines.

Required Qualifications:
- 8 to 10 years of experience managing new construction and remodeling projects, with a strong background in mechanical construction.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling techniques to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and protocols.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
- The position is full-time and based on-site at Port Qasim, Karachi.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 170,000 to Rs. 180,000.
- Work location requires physical presence to effectively manage on-site activities.
