Construction Manager (Mechanical)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, is seeking a dedicated full-time Construction Manager (Mechanical) to join their team in Karachi. This role will focus on the MAE and Suzuki high-rise building projects. As a sister company of IZHAR Construction Company Pvt Ltd., MEP Solutions offers comprehensive end-to-end services in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from inception through to completion, including detailed project reviews to schedule deliverables and estimate costs accurately.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring all contractual performance conditions are met.
- Manage all mechanical system requirements, including heating, cooling, refrigeration, piping, and plumbing installations within the building.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to ensure project alignment and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout various project phases such as bid walks, preconstruction walks, progress inspections, punch walks, and project closeouts. Attend status and coordination meetings to maintain clear communication.
- Perform and document quality assurance and safety inspections consistently, ensuring compliance with safety standards and that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
- Maintain and update Scope of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents, while fostering strong relationships with reliable contractors and vendors to meet contractual obligations.
- Respond promptly and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other disruptions to minimize project impact.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing new construction and remodeling projects, with a strong focus on mechanical systems.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Familiarity with building code requirements and scheduling methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Thorough understanding of construction worksite safety practices and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is highly desirable.
