Construction Manager (Mechanical)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a reputable contracting firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works and affiliated with Izhar Construction Company Pvt. Ltd., is seeking a dedicated full-time Construction Manager Mechanical. This role is based onsite at the PAK SUZUKI Project in Karachi. The ideal candidate will oversee all mechanical aspects of the project, ensuring seamless execution from design through commissioning while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing Systems Management:
Supervise the review, execution, and testing of plumbing systems including potable water, drainage, wastewater, and vent systems. Ensure quality control for water supply, sewerage, storm drainage, and irrigation networks.

Outfit Works Supervision:
Manage the installation of fixtures and fittings in kitchens, pantries, bathrooms, and utility areas. Oversee procurement follow-ups and verify the installation of plumbing fixtures, valves, pumps, and sanitary wares to meet project requirements.

Coordination with MEP & Civil Teams:
Align mechanical works with the civil finishing schedule and manage interfaces with civil, electrical, interior, and HVAC teams to ensure smooth project progress.

Technical Expertise & Standards Compliance:
Ensure all mechanical works comply with national plumbing codes and project specifications. Review and manage approvals for as-built drawings, shop drawings, and method statements to maintain technical accuracy.

Quality & Safety Oversight:
Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures, conduct regular site inspections, and manage snag list closures. Maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout plumbing and outfit installations.

Manpower & Resource Management:
Plan and monitor the activities of subcontractors, foremen, and labor teams on site. Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to the project manager to keep stakeholders informed.

Material Handling & Procurement Coordination:
Verify Bill of Quantities (BOQs), manage material approvals, and coordinate timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover:
Supervise hydrostatic and pressure testing, flushing, and final commissioning activities. Prepare comprehensive handover documentation and coordinate final inspections with the client to ensure project acceptance.

Target & Commitment Driven:
Demonstrate a strong focus on meeting targets set by management and ensure timely fulfillment of commitments made to clients.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/B-Tech Mechanical) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction management, specifically in mechanical and plumbing systems within large-scale projects.
