Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Lahore, a newly established tertiary care cancer facility, is seeking a full-time Consultant Anaesthetist to join its Department of Anaesthesia. This department plays a critical role in the comprehensive care of cancer patients, providing expert anaesthetic management and collaborating closely with various specialties to enhance treatment outcomes. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized oncology setting.

Key Responsibilities
The Consultant Anaesthetist will be responsible for the day-to-day management of anaesthesia services for cancer patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures. This includes preoperative assessment, intraoperative anaesthetic care, and postoperative pain management. The role requires close coordination with surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective anaesthetic practices tailored to the complex needs of oncology patients. Additionally, the consultant will contribute to the development and implementation of departmental protocols, participate in clinical audits, and support training and supervision of junior medical staff and anaesthesia trainees.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must be fully registered medical practitioners with an unencumbered license to practice, as recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). Candidates should hold an appropriate postgraduate qualification such as FCPS, FCA, FRCA, or an equivalent credential. Those with relevant American Board Certification are also eligible. A sub-specialty fellowship, certification, or equivalent qualification in anaesthesia is essential to meet the demands of this specialized role.
