Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer with a minimum of five years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team. This role is based in Gurgaon or Hyderabad, with flexible work timings from 12 PM to 9 PM IST or 7 AM to 3 PM IST. The primary focus is to enhance the stability and resilience of our platform by standardizing vulnerability management and remediation processes. The successful candidate will work within a 100% AWS-based environment, contributing to enterprise-wide patching automation using Ansible and related tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate into the existing team and quickly become familiar with the current environment and processes.
- Take ownership of patching volumes and vulnerability remediation activities, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Perform hands-on engineering tasks rather than managerial or coordination duties.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Ansible AWX job templates, playbooks, roles, inventories, and workflows to automate patching and remediation at scale.
- Gradually expand responsibilities as knowledge of the environment deepens, becoming a core member of the foundation team.
- Focus initially on patching as a strategic priority, with the role expected to evolve beyond routine patch execution.
- Collaborate effectively in Agile ceremonies and technical stand-ups to align with team goals and project timelines.

Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong emphasis on patching and vulnerability remediation in enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in patching and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible AWX for automation tasks.
- Solid experience working within AWS cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.
- Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows infrastructure management.
- Strong automation and scripting skills, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience with APIs, JSON/YAML, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to support automation workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to handle real-life patching, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure automation projects independently.
