Consultant (Hyperion Essbase)

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end implementation of Hyperion Planning and Essbase solutions, utilizing at least two years of hands-on experience. Develop and maintain Essbase technical components such as Calc Scripts, MDX, and MAXL. Create and manage applications, metadata, forms, business rules (Calc Scripts), and data load rules. Write and maintain financial reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) and Hyperion Business Intelligence (BI). Configure security settings and manage process workflows within the Hyperion environment. Integrate data using FDMEE and ensure smooth execution of data load rules. Develop and maintain calculation scripts, business rules, and data load rules for Hyperion Essbase and Planning. Work extensively with Aggregate Storage Option (ASO) cubes and report scripts. Prepare detailed test schedules and scenarios for Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing. Collaborate directly with clients and senior executives to gather requirements and optimize financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting applications.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in Hyperion Planning and Essbase implementations, demonstrating strong technical skills in Essbase scripting languages. Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. Hands-on experience in application creation, metadata development, form design, and business rule configuration. Skilled in writing and maintaining financial reports and configuring security within Hyperion tools. Experience with FDMEE integration and managing data load rules. Ability to develop test schedules and scenarios for various testing phases. Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients and senior management. Certified Hyperion Planning & Essbase Developer.
