Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Karachi, a newly established tertiary care cancer facility, is seeking a full-time Consultant Radiologist to join its Radiology Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and expanding the hospital’s radiology services, with a focus on ultrasonography, cross-sectional body imaging, women’s imaging, PET-CT, or interventional radiology. This role requires a specialist who can contribute to the development of these subspecialty areas while collaborating closely with radiographers, clinical staff, and management to uphold high standards of quality assurance and clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert radiological services across all aspects of diagnostic imaging, with a particular focus on subspecialty areas such as ultrasonography, cross-sectional body imaging, women’s imaging, PET-CT, or interventional radiology.
- Lead the development and strengthening of radiology services within the hospital, ensuring the integration of subspecialty expertise to meet patient care needs.
- Work collaboratively with radiographers, clinical teams, and administrative staff to maintain and improve quality assurance protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making processes to support comprehensive cancer care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to radiology services.
- Engage in continuous professional development and support training initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of specialty training evidenced by qualifications such as MRCP, FRCS, FRCR, FCA, MRCPath, or other equivalent credentials.
- American Board certification, including appropriate subspecialty boards where applicable.
- FCPS qualification with documented completion of specialty training and relevant subspecialty certification, along with a minimum of three years of approved overseas experience.
- Full and unencumbered registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams and patients.
