Control Room Controllers are required to join a UK-based security company to manage and monitor security operations from an office environment. This full-time, in-person role involves overseeing multiple operating systems, coordinating responses to incidents, and maintaining effective communication with clients, security officers, emergency services, and management. Candidates must demonstrate strong English language skills to ensure accurate reporting, clear communication, and adherence to UK security standards. The position includes shift work, which may involve nights, weekends, and public holidays, with some flexibility negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor operating systems, access control room emails, and various platforms to identify and respond to security incidents according to company procedures.
- Dispatch security officers and coordinate responses to incidents, liaising with emergency services such as police, fire, and ambulance when necessary.
- Maintain accurate control room logs and incident records, ensuring compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and Security Industry Authority (SIA) guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site security officers using multiple platforms, providing instructions during routine operations and emergencies.
- Update clients and management on incidents and system issues, working closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Read and interpret incident reports, emails, site instructions, operating procedures, policies, and emergency protocols accurately.
- Write clear and precise incident reports, logs, and emails using correct grammar and spelling, producing documentation suitable for legal or client use.
- Speak clearly and calmly in English over the phone and other communication platforms, delivering instructions effectively during incidents or emergencies.
- Listen attentively to phone calls, client emails, and security officer reports to understand instructions, requests, and incident details, responding appropriately.

Required Qualifications

- Strong command of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate professionally and accurately.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and record-keeping.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Basic IT proficiency, including handling control room emails, client requests, software applications, and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness and ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, with some flexibility negotiable.
- Previous experience in a control room or security environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of UK security procedures and standards.
- GCSE-level English or equivalent qualification is preferred.
