Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a Coordinator - Administration for its Clinical Laboratory based in North Karachi. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory collection points by coordinating with various stakeholders. This position requires regular site visits to conduct financial and quality audits, manage inventory, and oversee staff duties including leave, overtime, and training. The Coordinator will also be responsible for addressing lab test queries, incident reporting, and handling complaints from patients and physicians within designated timelines. Ensuring compliance with CAP and JCIA standards to maintain high-quality patient care is a critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate efficient functioning of collection points.
- Conduct regular visits to collection points for financial and quality audits.
- Ensure adherence to quality indicators and maintain a high patient satisfaction index.
- Manage lab test inquiries, incident reports, and complaints from patients and physicians promptly.
- Oversee inventory management at collection points to ensure adequate supplies.
- Supervise staff activities including scheduling duties, managing leaves, overtime, and organizing training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with CAP (College of American Pathologists) and JCIA (Joint Commission International Accreditation) standards to uphold quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience within any section of clinical laboratories at Aga Khan University Hospital, or 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar laboratory setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of various clinical laboratory tests and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer software applications relevant to laboratory operations.
