Coordinator - Integrated Medical Services

The Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a Coordinator for its Integrated Medical Services based in Karachi, Pakistan. This role supports the hospital’s Outreach Services, which extend healthcare access beyond its five main hospitals through Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health, and other community-based offerings. The Outreach Services focus on delivering primary to secondary healthcare close to patients’ homes across multiple cities in Pakistan. The Outpatient Medical Centres provide a variety of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Physiotherapy. These centres cater to patients of all ages, offering general health checks and consultations for specific conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to meet volume and revenue goals for assigned Medical Centres.
- Plan and organize promotional activities such as health events, medical camps, and open-house clinics within corporate and community settings.
- Coordinate with internal teams including physicians, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory, and support services to ensure smooth daily operations of Medical Centres.
- Ensure uninterrupted service delivery during emergencies by collaborating with managers, safety and security personnel, and other relevant departments.
- Oversee financial processes including cash handling, petty cash management, and adherence to financial policies set by the Finance Department.
- Monitor daily financial activities and conduct random audits to ensure compliance with internal controls, including cash and inventory management.
- Prepare and maintain staff duty rosters and monthly overtime reports for the Medical Centres.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance across all roles within the centres.
- Ensure complete credentialing and documentation of all doctors practicing at the Medical Centres.
- Maintain facility standards through regular rounds and coordination of housekeeping services.
- Manage monthly material stock and purchase requisitions.
- Oversee inventory of medical, surgical, and consumable supplies to avoid shortages.
- Collaborate with safety and security teams to conduct environmental rounds, enforce safety protocols, arrange training sessions, and ensure timely incident reporting.
- Participate in Quality Improvement forums and support the implementation of approved action plans.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of marketing strategies and promotional techniques.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to coordinate teams effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Urdu.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Composed and tactful under pressure, particularly in high-stress situations.
- Familiarity with OPMS and outpatient-related systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to work beyond regular hours and on public holidays as needed.
