Cosmetics Chemist

Cosmix Labs is seeking a skilled Cosmetics Chemist with a strong background in color cosmetics and skincare formulation development. The ideal candidate is proficient in designing and developing a broad array of products, including creams, face washes, gels, and color cosmetics. This role requires a deep understanding of cosmetic science, particularly in emulsion systems and formulation stability, to innovate and improve product performance. The Cosmetics Chemist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure formulations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Cosmetics Chemist is responsible for developing and optimizing cosmetic products from concept to final formulation, conducting thorough testing and analysis, and documenting formulation processes. The candidate should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience and be capable of independently managing projects without leading a team. Responsibilities

Develop and optimize cosmetic formulations including creams, gels, face washes, and color cosmetics using sound scientific principles.
Design and improve emulsion systems to enhance product stability, texture, and performance.
Conduct rigorous testing and analysis of formulations to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Document formulation procedures, test results, and product specifications accurately and comprehensively.
Collaborate with research and development, regulatory affairs, and marketing teams to align product development with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on new ingredients, cosmetic technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation within the product portfolio.
Troubleshoot formulation issues and propose effective solutions to meet customer and regulatory demands.
Support scale-up and technology transfer processes to manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production.
Maintain compliance with cosmetic industry regulations, guidelines, and safety protocols throughout the development process.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to enhance product features and market competitiveness.
