The ideal candidate will hold a CA, ACMA, ACCA, or a Master’s degree in Finance or a related field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized and reputable foreign or local university. This position requires a minimum of 10 to 15 years of post-qualification experience in cost accounting. The role is classified under the PPS-11 pay scale and offers a single vacancy for a highly skilled professional who can contribute effectively to the organization’s financial management and cost control functions. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of cost accounting, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of cost data.
- Develop and implement cost control measures to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Prepare detailed cost analysis reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with various departments to analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor inventory valuation and cost allocation processes in compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
- Provide expert guidance on cost accounting policies and procedures to senior management.
- Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements related to cost accounting.
Required Qualifications
- CA, ACMA, ACCA, or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field from an HEC recognized and reputable foreign/local university.
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years of post-qualification experience specifically as a Cost Accountant.
