Biotech Energy Pvt Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join the finance team at our Sheikhupura Plant. This full-time role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and practical experience in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing operational costs, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and auditing processes. This position plays a vital role in driving cost efficiency and ensuring accurate financial management within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data related to fixed and variable operational costs to calculate the total manufacturing cost of products.
- Establish and update standard costs for products or services, performing variance analysis to compare standard costs against actual production expenses.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports and financial statements for senior management, focusing on inventory reserve analysis and profitability at the SKU level.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and manage cycle count programs to maintain accuracy in inventory valuation and general ledger reconciliations.
- Collaborate with operations, production, and procurement teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing deviations and providing insights to support long-term business planning.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and ensuring compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system using ERP platforms and advanced Excel techniques for data manipulation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
Job Type and Compensation
This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Sheikhupura Plant. The monthly salary range is Rs100,000 to Rs125,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
